Everyone has something they have left unfinished at some point in their little creative stint and the days at the red centre will sadly be mine. I realise my last travel series was left unfinished and you have heard nothing from me for the past 3 months, but you would not believe the last 3 months I've had. Shortly after posting Day 2 of my amazing travels in the red centre of Australia I landed up with a broken knee. The story of how I managed to do that isn't too appealing and so wish I had a better one to tell. You know when your young and see people with casts on them and their friends have signed on it, well I always thought of what it would be like to break a bone and then get all that sympathy from people and I would have a great story to tell.
Well I managed to know what it feels likes to break a bone and lets just say I don't think I ever wanna have babies if the pain is supposedly way worse than that :) Needless to say, I lost all motivation to do pretty much anything else and so couldn't find the words to write Day 3 and 4 and couldn't move for about 2 months at the least so no place to travel. Unfortunately, my writings on the red centre will be put on hold indefinitely until I can find that motivation once again.
Staying in bed, watching TV shows, working from home to pay the medical bills and how could I forget getting pampered by my dear friends and mother (who actually flew from Bombay to Sydney for me and yes I know too spoilt but hey I needed a bit of loving) were the only things present for 2 months. It wasn't horribly bad and I am perfectly fine now with a fully recovered knee but yes that's what I have been up to for July and August.
September on the other hand went by in just moving around, catching with everything that I couldn't do while immobile and honestly have no idea how fast it just went by and here I am mid-October and finally ready for a new travel. So this is to get you guys excited for the next 3 months as I will be in Orange, NSW this weekend, In the Maldives in 2 weeks and in India in 2 months from now :)
had to make up for all the lost time you know, happy reading...
