Jun 1 Paris - Day 1

Sitting in my friends perfect little parisian apartment i cant believe I'm in Paris! When you've been planning and wanting to do something for the longest time and then it's actually happening its simply too surreal. When the pilot announced we are descending into Paris my belly sure felt weird and I suddenly had to hold my breath cause finally after years of annoying all my friends with the fact that I wanted to get to Europe, I was finally making it there.

And then the excitement is doubled when you're going to meet a friend you haven't seen in 5 years!

Even with the cloudy cold weather not apt for May, my first day has successfully completely with a walk along the Seine to Hotel le Ville where we saw a bit of he tennis being aired on a large screen from Roland Gaross (since it's nearly impossible to actually get tickets to go there),

down to Notre Dame where the queue was long but we got through quite quickly followed by a stop at the cutest little cafe with a glass of wine for a mid-day break.

Then it was off the ile and on the way to Pompidou and a some Parisian crepes for lunch. This then changes into a walk along the alleys and lanes of Marais for shops.

And since i was extremely jet lagged my lovely friend took me for a surprise where I didn't need to do much and it was the most spectacular view - the Eiffel tower from the 56th floor of the Tour Montparnasse (where you can get a ticket for a view or you just do what we did) at the restaurant called Ciel de Paris - simply amazing!
