Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I’m not as regular as I used to be so if you perchance land on my site, I do hope you enjoy the past travel stories and I hope to start back again someday.

Paris - Arrondissement

Paris - Arrondissement

We took Sunday to be a Sunday even for my holidays and after a long night out we had a slow start to the day. A juice, cafe and croissant later we made our way to L'Arc de Triomphe for the view that everyone had told me to see. And they weren't wrong. The 360 degree view of the city from there is spectacular indeed.

We then made our way down Champs Élysées only making a stop for some street hip-hop and at the outlandish Abercrombie store. A quick metro ride from there got us to Saint Michelle square with the fountain.

My friend having spot the perfect Parisian cafe with seats facing the rue, we had our croque monsieurs and beers for our break. A stroll through the back alleys of arr. 5 and we made our way to Pigelle in are. 9 for a nice glass if wine while we waited for my sister. And hour later we were ready to make our way to Sacre Coeur.

My original list had excluded this since I figured it was way far off but after some quick convincing from my friend and talks about the view I was ready to make my way there.

Walking through the back alleys ways and skipping the long steps leading up to Sacre Coeur we saw the cutest restaurants, cobble streets, apartments all with the gorgeous backdrop of the city.

It sure is worth a visit, if not for the church then just for the view and ambience you get by sitting along the steps and sipping on some diluted beers at sunset. Dinner at a quaint restaurant have a end to a day through the streets and alleys of Paris.
