HongKong

Since my lovely cousin will be leaving this city soon, I've just been reminiscing about the time spent together there and the thought of our 'sisters holiday' came to mind - the most impromptu overseas trip I've ever made - HongKong.

Since she lives there due to work, a trip from Sydney was eminent. June 2011, half way through the year, was the time for frustrations with work and life (much like right now), and a break was desperately needed. My other two sisters ended up coming from India and we all met at her place with a holiday planned within a weeks time and it was the best.

It was 5 days of seeing everything we could in the busy island city of Hong Kong, starting from the obvious tourist attractions such as The Peak, Victoria Harbour to the crazy shopping at Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon and Causeway Bay on the Island. And of course cannot forget the food and drinks! We sure as hell fell in love with the bars at Lan Kwai Fong with a whole night of bar hopping, cheap as ever vodka jelly shots.
