Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I’m not as regular as I used to be so if you perchance land on my site, I do hope you enjoy the past travel stories and I hope to start back again someday.

Bondi

Bondi

Bondi sure has some of the best sunrises I have ever seen. Autumn was gorgeous and even into winter and with the rain the sunrise over Bondi beach doesn't disappoint, in fact they are more stunning than over a clear blue sky in summer.

Just made me think about my move to Bondi and as many changes do occur, it happened straight after my trip to Europe last year. A four week escape to Europe sure made me think and a change was needed in some form. Since I had recently started a new job I didn't want to up and leave and move to London (which has been on the cards for a while and hence the visit to it this year). So the next best thing was move within Sydney.

I've been living in the same place for over 5 years and though it was a steel of a place and I lived with some of my closest friends, I could feel the itch for a change.

Now Bondi isn't the easiest place to move to in Sydney since it's ridiculously expensive and sort after, but I had lived in a city with some of the worlds best beaches and yet never lived by the beach even though I grew up by the beach in Mumbai.

It was one day that I'd lined up inspections and that was to be the day and as luck would have it, the very first place was the place to be! And since the move I haven't regretted it one bit. I mean how can you when you wake up to the best views from your balcony and are able to live close to some of your closest friends.

This is where I do think of a quote I just came across in an article on LinkedIn - The idea of 'going global' isn't about geography. It's about escaping the familiar and exposing yourself to new worlds of opportunities - Laura
